Sah D’Simone is a spiritual teacher, humanitarian, and bestselling author whose approach to healing was forged not in academia, but through devotion: over 300 days of silent meditation retreat across the last decade, clinical training in spiritual care at Cedars-Sinai Hospital, and years of direct service in the margins where suffering lives most vividly.
From orphaned children in Indonesia to individuals in addiction recovery in Nepal, from homeless populations in Los Angeles – work that earned him the City of Los Angeles CARE Award – to survivors of bonded slavery in India and the sick and dying in hospital settings, Sah has held space body-to-body, learning that healing is not theoretical but relational, embodied, and earned through presence.
As the creator of the Somatic Activated Healing (SAH) Method and founder of the Somatic Dance Institute, he has trained teachers and guided communities worldwide in trauma-informed, body-based practice.
His work integrates Buddhist contemplative practice with trauma-informed care, leading to collaborations with Harvard University, Columbia University, and the United Nations.
His message is simple and powerful: healing is possible, and freedom begins in the body.
